Athletics.

On Friday we had Athletics . First we had to get into our house colors like Tainui,Mataatua,takitimu and Te Arawa .Then we had to get into our year of your age. We had to put on our hats then we had to say the prayer . After that we had to walk to the high jump on the first try I lost so I had to go at the back of the bag . Next we went to the 100 meter sprint I came 5th in the 100 meters . Next we went to discus it was so fun When it was my turn i got it next to the park after year 5 boys went to mr barkes we had to throw the frisbee I did not get to get in the finals because it was so hard when we went to the next activity I stood on a sharp rock and it was sore.then we went to the bag race i was cheating from putting it on my head. next we had to get into your house group then we had to get one of the sides and grab the ropes and we was the first group up we had to not pull it until we are ready my team won the next . activity was that we had to throw the ball far as you can it was heard . Then we had to get into a line we had to run and land far as you can go in 1st,2nd,3th it was so cool next it was shot pot i did not . Got into the finals . suddenly the bell rang that was the end of Athletics . it was so cool i felt so happy.

Film festival .

On Wednesday Pt England went to watch the Manaiakalani Film Festival at the movie theatre in Sylvia Park. We left on the bus at 11:45. On the way to the Sylvia Park we were playing a game where you had to sing a song and make sure you didn’t sing the same song as the other team. We played girls vs boys. When we got to Sylvia Park we had to get into two lines.Then we walked to the hoyts cinemas, we had to walk really quickly and keep up with Miss Lavakula. It was like she was in a race trying to be the first one there. We walked into the cinema and I was excited. I couldn’t wait to watch the movies from our school. We were really lucky because we got to go to the top of the cinema and sit in the leather lazy boys it was so cool. Our seats could go down like a bed, but sadly we weren’t allowed to make them do this. I was sitting with my buddy PJ when Sohel and Promise came and sat with us as well. We saw a lamp and PJ kept turning it on. Mr Burt then told us we had to leave the lights off while the movies were on. Suddenly the cinema went dark and the first movie started. We watched a few movies and then it was Rowana and Kyan’s turn to present our class movie. It was so funny that all of us on our seat were laughing. A few movies played then we went back to the bus . When it was all over I felt sad because we couldn’t watch any more . But we still had fun at the movies.

Once upon a time, a mother duck was sitting on her nest of eggs for days. All the  ducklings came out except happy, it was the biggest egg of all. When the egg hatched out came a ugly duckling. Mother Duck saw that it was ugly  and the other ducklings told it to go away and that it was ugly . The ugly duckling found a new home in tall grass. He wanted to make friends with geese but they told him to go away. The ugly duckling looked at the  white  birds flying and he wanted to be just like them. They were beautiful and nobody with  them.

A penguin named Dj

Once upon a time there lived a penguin named Dj. Dj lived in a very cold place called Antarctica. He loved to eat in a group of penguin that lived next to him. The penguin also lived on a small iceberg and every time he sleeps on an iceberg it gets shrinks smaller. But when it  broke Dj said, “where would I live now?” And so Dj went to this place that no one will go there  but when he went on there. He saw a group of penguins playing tiggy and having lunch. Dj was so hungry that he decided to go over and ask for some food. But sadly the penguins refuse.

Dj walked off feeling hungry and sad, that he had no one to play with. So he went out with a stroll and on the side of a mountain there was a light shining in his eyes. So he went to the lights and there was a group of penguins eating, so Dj knocked on the door and asked if he could come inside their igloo. They all answered Yes you may come in. So Dj lived with his family and never strolled off.

"Yay!" we have football today. We had it in the hall. We were in the hall because it was wet outside.it was cool because we can slide on our socks. We had a coach named Ben. He plays football. We had a warm up it was octopus. Then we practiced some skills like juggling with our legs and we had to kicking the ball with our legs .Then we had to get in a long line so ben can split us in five groups.I was in number 2 . Next we had to put the green bands on. It was me , owen,juliet,shaitan and Kyan. After that we had to go to our goals so we can play teams vs teams. We vs the yellow team first then we had to change teams so we went to vs the blue team. So we went to them .We won them from 2 points it was hard because the balls always goes out of bounds it was so fun.

on monday we had psi assembly for term 2.It was windy and raining . We had to sit down and watch. It was about investigates  some teachers was act about psi’  miss lavakula  was a penguin .

there was lots of teams that had to go up but it was only teachers that had to do the things that is about psi when team 4 came on they were talking about antarctica . Then they had to get three people so they can have a challenge it was funny because this boy was say funny stuff.

in this mornning we had assmbely in the hall there was a special visitor coming  it was will.i.am and he came becaues he give a large  cheque it was 100.000.00 for Manaiakalani.

then he was talking about his family and him that there were poor and he said that his mum had no jobs and he did not see his dad then we song a song to him then  Manaiakalani came and stand in front of us so will.i.am can give the 100.000.00 then the kakpa waka be fromed there show to the vistor and hip hop.

i was happy and sore at the same time. it was cool.

my April may holiyday

In the holidays I went to a Cook Island show. It was cool me and my cousins got  some  money for dancing then we went to change we had a good night. After that we went to my cousins place and me and my cousins played on his Ipad.  We played IIron Man 3 it was so cool then we went to the ice cream shop.We got some ice cream it was nice for one ice cream it was for 50 cent.  

On  saturday we went to drum we were drumming cook Island so we can get some money for our group. It started to rain then we went home then  we went to  watch tv we watch the battle of Los Angeles it was cool.

On sunday we went to the Morrin road markets. I had $25 so I bought this can that had speakers  in and played music out of it was cool then we went to the movies to watch iron man 3 it was loud and my ears were getting sore there was lots of iron mans .Then we went back home it was fun then we went to sleep.

Rugby league lesson

On the field room 13 were having a rugby league  lesson. the  coach’s name is  james  we had to  learn to draw and pass the ball to the person next to us. Then we were playing benji says we had to do the thing he says we had to make a circle so we can run around the circle.

then we played octopus with the ball. there were two people in the middle they had to tag us.On the side and if you get tagged you had to  stay where you got tagged and you had to stand like a octopus. It was cool as .

after that we were playing  passing back to the person at the back of us we  had to run  and  pass the ball back to the person at the back of room 13 kids. then we played defending and attacking  the people that  was attacking they have to try and get a  score . The people that had to defend they had to tag them before  they get a try .  It was cool today.

my triathlon losson

On Wednesday 3rd April Room 13 went to a triathlon lesson on the field. The girls went first and the boys went last. It was cool because we got to ride on the bikes. We had to  run around the field  once too . Some of us had  to do a water slide

because they had their swimming togs .

We had helmets on our heads when we rode on the bikes and we had to go around  the flags . After that we had to run around the flags on the field too. We had two turns. It was so cool because it was my first time taking part in triathlon.

Easter Break

On Easter Friday I went to my cousin’s place to say hi because we had not seen them for weeks.  Me and my cousin AJ played on the trampoline then, after that we went on his phone and played guns.

Once we finished, we went in his room to play on his Play Station 2. We played Skyline for a long time.  

For dinner, AJ and I had takeaways and then we went home.

On Easter Monday we went to the shops

and we did some shopping. My family got some food and after that we went to practice for our Cook Island dance group. Our group had an easter egg hunt. I found a easter bunny and my sister Mata found a small easter egg. Then we ate chicken curry it was nice.

On Easter Tuesday we had a picnic at Pt England beach. It was cool because we  had vanilla ice cream and tuna pasta. Before we went home, my family and I went for a swim.

Swimming Reflection

Have you had swimming lessons before? Every day last week, Room 13 had swimming. We walk to the Glen lnnes swimming pools for swimming lessons. We have to learn how to swim. I am in group 1. My instructor is Toby. I learned arm circles for freestyle. It's like your arms are going around in circles. One thing that I have to keep practicing is rocket arms. Because my arms were not straight. I love swimming because it is fun.
