Attitude talk

On October the 25th  we had a special person come in to the senior block to talk about stories that he had and some information about relation and also about our attitude his name is Paula Fakalata.

Ratios

for this week for maths we had task to do it was kind of hard we were learning about ratios. For our walt we are learning to identify ratios. here is what we are doing for maths.

Escape From Afghanistan

On week 7 we had a task to do it was about Afghanistan people. Here some information of what we are doing here is one fact that I have found that Afghanistan people ask question to god and people.

Olympic history character

For inquiry we have been doing this task that does with the Olympic characters. The character that i am writing about is Sonny Bill William.

Show Don't Tell Story.

For this week we have a writing task to do we are writing about this boy that was sitting in the corner crying is head of. Here is what I have wrote so far.

The New Boy

On a beautiful sunny day there was this boy, named as Beau. He had brown hair that was straight as a line. He went to this school called Pt Germany, He was a new by the that school. The school that Beau went to was only for boys and was only for,  year 7-13 . When he was at the school he made friends to this boy that like things that he liked and his name was called Monga, he was delicate as a rabbit, he also had brown hair like a grizzly bear hair.

On the second day of school Beau went searching for his friend Monga he searched and searched until he came by Monga class, and saw his bag.

“Here you are” Beau said in a kind tone of voice.

He and his friend Monga went along to scout the school so that Beau can know the places better, It was like a tour. Then it was time to go to class Beau and Monga ran as fast as a  cheetah. As they were running, they were racing each other towards their class. As soon as possible they bump into a fine young lady. Her name was Ariana. Monga didn’t even think of going to help her he just left her.

But Beau was a person that like to help other people, so he stayed back and took her to the sick bay. Before Beau went , the Injured lady asked

“what is your name ” she said in a kind voice.

“My name is Beau what is yours”he said.

She said her name was Ariana. So off Beau went to his class, when he got to his class  his teacher asked him

” where were you”

he said that he went to help this young lady called Ariana and, took her to the sick bay. The teacher said ok but before you do anything, you know that you have to tell your teacher were your going.

“Ok”said Beau.

So in Beau went, as soon as he got inside he saw his friend Monga and asked him

“why didn’t you come”.

He sat there like he didn’t even hear anything, so Beau went to sit in his chair.

It was time for lunch time and there was rugby trials. Beau went with his friend Monga and ran to the rugby trials, they knew that there was trial because it came from the speaker. There was heaps of people at the trials, and there was not that much people to take to the game on Thursday. When Beau and Monga went to the trials they had to bring a change of clothes, tomorrow, !RING! !RING! The bell went. Before they went to class they saw Ariana and her friend Grande. They said sorry to her and ran towards the tap so they can wash the grease mud off their leg.

Then it was time for Beau and Monga to go to class, when they got to their class, they got there late so then it was time to go home. As the day went by Beau came to school and went to search for his best friend Monga. They were so excited that they couldn’t handle “himself. They were excited because of the trial papers. As the bell rang the whole school went to their own class.

Once they got to  their class, their teacher started to start the work for the year 8 . As the hours went by ,Beau started to feel guilty because he was not listening  to the teacher and was talking to his friend Monga. The bell rang ,and they packed as fast as they can. Before they got out the door the teacher told them to stay. Monga didn’t listen and so he ran but as you already know Beau was a kind person so he didn’t even think of talking back or ran away. He stayed back for almost the whole morning tea. His teacher felt sorry for him so he let him go ,and he started to ran fast, He got to the trial but didn’t stay there for long. !RING! !RING! The bell went and they had to go to class.

The hours went by and his feeling started to turn out like a person that didn’t care of anything.

He was feeling a little down because he knew that he didn’t make it to the trial. The bell went and so they went to the trial paper. When Beau went to look and see if his name was in it his face started to turn down, He didn’t make it. He ran towards the corner of the classroom and started to cry out tears like a running waterfall he also was hurting him self by kicking his leg on the wall. The next day, Beau came ,and the rugby team was going to there game. Before the rugby team went they had to call out the list as  they went through the list there was one person away. The coach said

“We need one person to take his place”The coached said

They went to go look for anyone but all of them declined them, so they gave up. Until there was this boy that said

“There is one more person” said the boy

He ran as fast as the wind and went to find Beau he was the only person left. He found him and said to Beau

“Come and bring your bag”said the boy

 “Why” Beau said

“Don’t ask” The boy said

He ran as fast as he could. He ran with the boy and went toward the bus, in his mind he was thinking of what he was doing here. His coach said

“You are the only person left”

So off they went and started the game. As the hours went by it turned out that Beau was the player of the day. He got player of the day because he didn’t hog the ball and scored around 4 or 5 try’s. They went back and started to celebrate.

Hiwi The Kiwi.

Hiwi The Kiwi

On a thursday the 25th of august 2016 we had a amazing event that happened it was hiwi the kiwi. Hiwi the kiwi came and talked about safety when you are on a boat. Mr and Mrs Minstrel, they were husband and wife. When we were entering the hall I heard a person sing and playing the guitar, and it was Mr Minstrel. He was the singer and player for hiwi the kiwi . Then it was time to start they started with a song that had the national anthem.

Then it was time for learning time we were learning about fish when they finished talking, Mr Minstrel asked this question and picked this girl and told her to come up on the stage. When she was making her way up to the stage he was doing this funny voice and said” come on bobo”.  When she got onto to the stage he asked what her name is when she said her name Mr Minstrel started to  rhyme things that rhymed with her name.

Then she was finish, every time someone goes up to the stage  and  comes back they come back with a poster and a sticker. Then it was time for another song it was about fish and  it went like this “kai moana fish from the sea, kai moana to feed family, fish from the future  and there will always be, kai moana for you and me”. The song that we were singing was quite funny because of the action. I was really into the song. Then it was time for a story the story was about these three man that was on a boat.  

The three man that was on the boat had no life jacket and so they left it in the front of the boat. So off they went and started to have a good day. It was few hours until something bad happened the three men didn’t know that there was a rock under the water. They were going fast  until they hit the rock !BOOM! The boat flipped and the three men was to late to get there life jacket. They were trying to catch up to the boat but the motor was still going. And that was the story that Mr Minstrel told us and that why we have to wear a life jacket.

Then it was time to go. I felt really pleased because it was cool to learn about safety when you are on sea.

Algorithm Multiply 1 Digit Numbers.

For maths this week we have been learning to use an algorithm to multiply any number by 1 digit number. Here is some information of what we are doing for reading. For maths we are dealing with these kind of questions 4 x 78. here is the presentation of what we are doing.
